Bernsport is a long established wholesale supplier in the sports and fitness market. Around 4 years ago we decided we needed an online presence and contracted a local company to design and build a website for us for the Achieve Fitness business.
At the time we believed we were on an exciting new track that would change the way we did business. Three and a half years and a number of web design companies plus consultants later we had spent 2.5 times our planned budget and we had an underperforming out of date website that was achieving nothing.
We, like many other companies, had made the mistake of thinking once we had a website we were automatically part of the new online trading community – this proved to be a long and expensive mistake.
Early in 2014 a chance meeting put us in touch with Greg Randall from Comma Consulting, after a couple of initial meetings we decided to completely overhaul our online presence.
Greg’s in depth knowledge of web design and online consumer behaviour has been a revelation for our company. In the last 10 months we have launched a new direct sell website that is showing constant month on month sales growth.
Every part of the design and build process managed by Greg has been carried out on time and on budget. Details which Greg insisted upon, which we considered trivial at the time, have repeatedly proven to be effective in returning leads and sales.
Greg has a wide range of contacts in the digital sector which means he can deliver a seamless project from concept to execution.
Building and maintaining an effective website is not a quick or cheap way to “get online”. It requires a solid budget commitment and as we have learnt is a never ending project which requires serious commitment of people and resource.
We can highly recommend Greg to any company considering online development, for this company, we will not make a move in the online area without first contacting Greg to provide guidance and planning.
